It was 47 degree yesterday and I don’t think we will get a white Christmas this year in our part of Michigan. But on the plus side, with the warmer weather I don’t need to wear a winter coat when I am shopping. That’s just one less thing to slow you down when you are in the zone! 😉 And I was in the zone! I went to the shops at Village of Rochester Hills and scored some great finds. A new favorite Ivanka Trump winter coat from Carson’s and lots of incredible deals at Ann Taylor Loft and Ann Taylor. I really like this shopping center with its flowers, lights and walkways.
I have to confess that I’ve been running a bit ragged with all the holiday activities. We had some co-workers over on the weekend for dinner followed by a girl’s night out for a few drinks and dancing. I was out way past my usual bedtime but had a blast! Then last night we did it again! My best friend and her husband came over for delicious dinner of Korean BBQ, wine and then we played Mahjong late into the night! Another great time! And another great wine! We dove into a delicious chocolate wine they brought. I mean OMG, chocolate AND wine? Together? Someone was a genius! Now later today we have our annual Christmas Eve family dinner. Whew! But I really love this time of year.
Back to my outfit! I also love prints and sometimes I like to mix them together. I got this wine colored polka dot sweater at Ann Taylor because the color really appealed to me. But it is a basic style so I needed something to dress it up and add a touch of fun and some extra color! The flowing flower print cardigan is the perfect piece to make it happen! The pearl layered necklace keeps the whole outfit elegant while my hat adds even more fun color and echoes the bag. Since I have a pretty rich color above my waist I kept it very simple below. A pair of jeans with very comfy black long boots hit the spot just right.
