What to wear to a rooftop bar
I don’t do clubs. They are way past my age and my bedtime. I like quieter and brighter places better. Without a doubt, one of our favorite things about summer is being able to hang out on rooftop bars all evening long. There’s just something irresistible and vacation-like about sipping cocktails outside, don’t you think?
I never even knew there were some cool rooftop bars in Downtown Detroit. But this TV host gig has shown me a lot of dope places in this city. This 3 Fifty Terrace was just opened about two weeks ago and now it is the hottest place for all the cool and stylish crowd to hang out.
Speaking of my TV life, I just filmed the footage for my first segment. I’m the style host (I know, quite a shocker!) and my bit will be called “I Want Her Closet!” I was pretty nervous but also pumped! I can’t wait to see the final edit. I hope you’ll check it out if you can too. You can see what the show is all about by checking out the What’s Up Detroit website. http://whatsupdetroit.com Thanks as always for your support and I’ll keep you updated on when it will air!
When it comes to hitting a rooftop bar in the summer, there’s no such thing as a dress code. From printed summer dresses and sandals to good old denim cut-offs and loose button down shirts, anything can be appropriate as long as you look well put together.
But among the almost infinite choices, I love to wear rompers. The main reasons are:
1. Rompers are the best friends for a petite woman to show off our figure but without revealing too much.
2. It is often windy up there on the rooftop so a romper feels more secure then a short cocktail dress. You really don’t want too many Marilyn Monroe Moments!
I wrote a post called How Petite Women Wear a Romper. You can read more details about the tips of buying a romper. What do you like to wear?
With this outfit, I added on the white choker from Diana’s Fairytale Jewelry . I am really into Chokers this year and it really is those little details that just make a look!
Below are some rompers that are good for an evening out and, at under $100 they won’t bust your budget.
