The Michelle Bespoke handbag from Beau Satchelle
I am very sure you have seen this yellow designer handbag many times on my blog or social media posts. Yes, there is no secret that it is my favorite bag.
How can it not be? The color is so bright and elegant, the shape is so classy and it is very roomy for carrying all my essentials. Today, let’s take a closer look at this bag.
My Michelle handbag is not just another pretty face. It is a piece of art. It is hand cut and hand stitched with over 1200 stitches. And I don’t mean someone ran a sewing machine without a computer program, we’re talking needle and thread here!
The leather for my bag is yellow French Chèvre Chagrin Goatskin. This soft durable material is known and used by luxury houses throughout the world.
A real luxury bag should be well made inside and out. With my Michelle, that is certainly the case. The lambskin used on the interior is Italian and was chosen for the texture and how it’s luxury pairs well with the goatskin.
Everybody knows the Devil is in the details. For my Michelle bespoke handbag that is for sure true. Even the thread is made from a special French linen which is called Lin Cabel. The edges are then treated with hand-painting and hand-burnishing for that perfect finishing touch.
You may already know who made this amazing piece. Yes, it is from our very own Michigan luxury leather goods brand, Beau Satchelle.. You can read two interviews I have done with them here and here to know them better.
What really strikes me about this brand, and the reason I am so proud to partner with them, is the painstaking quality they put into every step of the production process. And I can’t say it enough but it’s hard to believe when you look at their pieces that when making their bespoke luxury designer handbags, luggage and leather luxuries at Beau Satchelle, every stitch is by hand without the use of any machines. Why you ask? And I’m very happy you did! It’s because they want to insure that each one of their luxury goods has a soul and stands the test of time.
Now after having used this Michelle handbag for a while I will give you my honest review.
It is surprisingly lightweight. You know some bags are already very heavy even before you load up with your brand new iPhone 7 and your makeup essentials but my Michelle is very light. The hardware is such a cute design and also lightweight. I think it is so light most likely because of the high quality leather they use. No artificial fillers or flavors! Nothing else, just pure leathers.
It is very roomy but without looking too big. I like luxury bags but I hate a useless bag. I need to carry quite a few secret Blogger items daily (sort of like a super hero’s utility belt) and for this bag it is a piece of cake. You probably all have seen my red LV bag as well. Comparing these two, my yellow Michelle can hold about double the LV. Although, like I said, it does not at all look double sizewise.
And it can go with just about everything in my wardrobe.:)
I think I have given more love to this yellow Michelle bag than my red LV bag for sure. Needless to say, after you have seen how many times I have used it, you will know how much I love it. And you will love it too!
