Wear Your Cat on Your Collar
I know, I know, this title sounds a bit…unusual. And, in case you were wondering, no I am not a crazy cat lady either.
I always have a hard time to answer the question: “Are you a dog person or a cat person?” I think I have pretty equal feelings towards dogs and cats. I never really had my own pets when I was growing up in China. Until now, my husband and I still don’t have any pets. But through my stepdaughter we have one grand dog and 3 grand cats.
My husband and I took care of my father-in-law’s 17 year old cat for about a year. His name was Red and he was a very grumpy old guy, but he never bit me. He loved sitting on my lap and when I brushed his fur. Somehow Red always reminded me of an old gentleman. He was mostly blind and deaf but his nose still worked fine. Whenever I would cook shrimp, he would run to the kitchen and hop on a chair to wait for his share. But even old and sick, Red never stopped holding up his pride.
I had never thought that I could wear a cat on my collar until this Spring when I was in New York. We went to New York Fashion Week and met a young girl. She was wearing a very similar shirt as I am wearing today. I was so obsessed to add something similar to my closet and so happy to find this White Cat Pattern Collar Pocket Detail Long Sleeve Shirt last month.
The best part? It was under $20. And of course my students all went very crazy about this shirt. 😉
Now I am wondering, should I find a dog shirt to make it even? I think poor Cody is feeling way out numbered!
