Best WordPress Plugins for beginner bloggers
December 7th will be the 2 year birthday for colorandgrace.com. After about two years of blogging, I have found several plugins that have worked very well for my blog. I design and update my blog all by myself, so it is not that fancy or professional. But if you are a new blogger this post may help you save a lot of time and trouble for later.
We all hate spam comments. I was so tired to check every single comment and then approve them. Until I found Akismet. It identifies and blocks 99% of the spam comments. Sometimes I have to manually approve or remove a few comments but overall it is a huge time and life saver for me.
2. iOS Images Fixer:
I have had problems with my MAC for a long time. Every time after a new update, the photos which I uploaded on my blog will either be flipped or upside down. I can fix it in my computer but it will still show the flipped images on an iPad or iPhone. I had spent more than a week trying to figure out what was going on. I even took my MAC back to the Apple store. And then I found this plugin. I have to say this plugin truly saved my blogging career. Honestly I almost gave up on it.
3. Top 10:
Count daily and total visits per post and display the most popular posts based on the number of views. You can see this on the right side of my blog.
4. Yoast SEO:
Everybody knows SEO is very important for blogging. But I am just a girl who barely can understand English. So I have put off the SEO mission for a long time. Then I found this plugin. It is quite easy to use and at least I can understand what it is saying. 😉
Those are just some of my favorite plugins I have been using. What are your favorite ones? Don’t forget to share with us so we can all make our blogging life a little bit easier.
