Two year blog anniversary—colorandgrace.com turns two!
Yes, it has only been two years for colorandgrace.com. Somehow I feel like it has been 3 or 4 years already. Lol! There are a lot of people who have asked me “What inspired you to become a fashion blogger?” Here is the answer for you all. I have always loved fashion and dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. But I don’t know how to draw or sew. After reading many articles about how the fashion blogger industry has grown stronger, I realized that I could do it too.
This has been a very difficult year for our family but I still managed to achieve some of my goals as below.
1. Never missed a day:
You may all know about my husband’s illness this year. If not, you can read here, here and here. With a full time job, a sick husband and a blog to run, it has been quite hard for me this year. I post 3 times a week and usually schedule them a week ahead of time. How did I not miss a day of posting for the whole year? I guess because I really love blogging and take it very seriously. In order to take care of and balance everything in my life, I almost never get enough sleep, and no weekends or free time for me anymore. I have to use any minute that I can find and make it produce 3 minutes worth. Yes, I am the woman warrior! 😉
2. Invited to NYC for Fashion week:
3. Have worked with many famous brands:
It has been my honor and pleasure to work with many famous brands, like Meijer, L.L. Bean, Old Navy, Burberry, YSL Beauty and Citizen Bank.
4. become Brand Ambassador at Beau Satchelle:
It has been a great pleasure to partner with this luxury leather goods brand based right here in Michigan. You can read more here.
5. Become a TV CO-HOST:
I was very fortunate to be a TV co-host for What’s Up Detroit. You can read more here. Currently I am taking a break due to my husband’s illness.
6. IG have reached more than 20k, become its own platform:
I started to focus on growing my Instagram account since last summer. And now I have more than 20k followers.
I also realized that my personal style evolved: before I will say I was Elegant, colorful, sophisticated and fun, but now it is Elegant, polished and fun for me. Below are the top looks of my personal favorites:
It is certain that I have lots of unknowns in my future due to my husband’s illness, but there is one thing I know for sure; that I love fashion and blogging. I am far away from where I want to be and I don’t plan to stop here. 😉 Let’s dream big and work hard!
