How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

I know for most of the areas, it is Spring already. But in Michigan, we are still holding on to the tale of winter. My heart is already fully in Spring mode, but the weather is just not cooperating. ๐Ÿ˜‰

How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

So today we are going to talk about how to transition your wardrobe from winter to Spring and show off your Spring spirit.

How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

1. Pick Spring colors:

Think about the pastel colors. If you are into light pink, yellow and blue, bring them out. I am always into rich and bold colors so I used black, white and blue as my main color scheme. I also added on the light pink shoes to bring out the Spring vibe. Since it is still quite cold outside, the turtle neck sweater is a practical choice. Thanks to the colors, the sweater looks good in Spring as well.

2. Show some skin:

For a transitioning look, there is no rules you can’t break. For example, it is totally ok if you wear a winter coat with a pair of sandals. I am too whimpy and old, so sandals are off my list at this moment. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Instead, I picked a pair of Spring colored Mary Janes. A cropped pant always puts me in the mood for Spring as well.

  1. Great tips, Grace! I am like you, I cannot wear sandals until it is good and warm outside! I love the look of sandals with jeans and sweaters, but if it is cold enough for sweaters, my toes are the very first thing to get too cold! I am doing a seminar next weekend on this very topic and one of the tips I am using is to add Spring colors in winter fabrics (or layers or accessories). I love the “show some skin” tip as well and I think I may add that in!
