The Social Runway Fashion Show In Detroit, Michigan
If you have been reading my blog or following me on my social media for a while, you probably already know that I have been to a lot of fashion shows, from super small and low key ones to super crowded and exciting ones. So trust me, I know what I am talking about. 😉
May 12th I was invited to the upscale international Social Runway Fashion Show conducted by the e.Lane Group at the beautiful Madison Building Rooftop Terrace & Loft in downtown Detroit.
I totally agree with the name that it was an upscale event. The Madison Building Rooftop Terrace & Loft in downtown Detroit is such a trendy and beautiful place. It was so cool on the rooftop overlooking the spectacular downtown Detroit skyline and the Detroit Tiger’s baseball stadium, Comerica Park.

Just like the name of this show, it attracted so many stylish people. We got a lot of time to socialize with many style gurus, drink and dance to live music. We also ate healthy and tasty food, and of course took a lot selfies and Snapchat stories.
The Social Runway is also an international fashion show designed to highlight top Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs in Metro Detroit and Canada. This includes Cynthia LaMaide, a local designer known for her one-of-a-kind knitted garments and for dressing celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, with collections that have been seen across the world. I have featured one of her designs from a different fashion show here. Anyway, below are a few looks from her.
The Social Runway Fashion Show also featured a collection from Beely Huang, owner of “Designed by Beely”, an independent women’s apparel and accessories label located in Toronto, Ontario. I bumped into her in the elevator but didn’t realized that it was her. I told her I really liked her outfit though. 😉 These are a few of my favorite designs from her collection.
This is Iantha Nicole, the President of The e.Lane Group. The e.Lane Group is a Detroit-based Event Production Company specializing in the complete coordination of premier fashion events.
Job well done, Iantha! I am very happy to see that we have this high quality production event company in Detroit. You never know, someday when I finally design my own line, I will know where to find a professional company to launch my collection. 😉
