Happy Eyes, Happy Wallet – Reading Glasses from Readers.com
It was right after I turned 40 years old… I started to notice some changes in my body. One of them was my eyesight. I started getting blurred vision when doing minor activities and I was squinting a lot. My crow’s feet were more and more obvious around my eyes. I even got headaches more often. Later, my eye doctor confirmed that I had presbyopia. Really!?! I was quite upset because I didn’t feel like I was that old. My doctor told me that the average person to get presbyopia is 36 years old. This made me feel a little better at least. Maybe mine is not too bad after all. 😉
I guess it doesn’t matter how much time and money we spend on our face and body, the aging of our eyesight is not that easy to prevent or to fight. The best way to look at it is I now get to wear a pair of stylish reading glasses to avoid more crow’s feet and headaches in the future.
I came across Readers.com and loved what I read from other customers. You should probably know, I always read reviews first and then decide if a website or store is worth my time to shop there. 😉 Anyway, they have many, many styles and types of reading glasses. They offer “Free Shipping on U.S. Orders $30+” and “No-Hassle Returns for a full refund up to 90 days.” This sounded pretty good to me, so I got two pair of reading glasses from them.
The first one is The Laura. I love the perfect mix of retro and edge! I just can’t say no to red or the iconic cat eye shape. 😉 So stylish, right? They are only $15.95. Later I noticed their slogan and it is “Happy eyes Happy wallet”. It is quite true.
The second pair I got is this cool and fancy looking The Marigold Bifocal Sun Reader. I have been going to a beach for vacation each spring. I noticed when I’m there I always wish I have a pair of sunglasses that can help me read. I also have a pool in my backyard, so I do spend quite a bit time on my chaise lounge working on my computer. Now with this pair of sunreaders, I can be very stylish and practical at the same time. 🙂 This pair is only $22.95.
This website is pretty easy to use and the customer service is very good too. I didn’t know my prescription so I just scanned my latest eye exam and e-mailed it to them. They helped me pick the right lens. 😉 When I was looking through Readers.com, I noticed they have some very unique offers. For example, you can order very flexible reading glasses if you are rough on your glasses. 😉 Or Folding Reading Glasses for convenience. I was so excited to see that they even offer high power Makeup Reading Glasses. Makeup readers? You better believe it. These nifty readers are specifically designed to help apply makeup. Work on one eye, then simply slide the magnification over to the other eye when you’re ready to move on. Very interesting! I may have to check them out when my eyesight needs more help. 😉
