Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub.com Part 1
I grew up in the Chinese countryside. I didn’t have a single toy when I was little but I had the whole world of nature as my playground. I spent hours outside – running, climbing, jumping, crawling and sitting. Our house was tiny and my mom wanted me out of the way when she was cooking so the Great Outdoors was where I spent a lot of time. But I knew when I grew up, I’d have a nice place to stay where I would be comfortable, warm and dry. So after I moved to America, and my husband tried many times to take me camping, I was like, “what is wrong with these Americans?” I worked so hard to finally earn my own home so I didn’t need to stay in a place in the wild, and now, let me get this right, I have to pay money to suffer? 😉 But my husband didn’t give up and kept telling me many interesting camping stories so I decided to give it a try.
That was about 9 years ago and I had spent exactly 2 nights in a tent. And that was one night too many! It turns out that like many things, there are several different levels to “camping”. When I went with my late husband, we were at the bottom level. That means we used a tent and pretty much slept on the ground. Oh we had an air mattress, but there was nothing to insulate us from the cold. I love to be in my garden and a walk on the beach is one of my all time favorite things. But at night, give me my nice king size bed and electric blanket if I need it and that’s my idea of comfort! The first night was quite nice in the tent, but on the second one, I froze! That was 9 years ago and I’m just now starting to feel my toes again! As you can imagine, I quit camping since then.
3 years ago my step-daughter bought a fancy camping trailer that would let us move up a few levels on the Camping Comfort Chart! So with this in mind, I tried camping again and I loved it.
Now, I am ready to move up to the next level of camping, something most people call “Glamping”! I love fresh air and the great outdoors, but I’m not into roughing it. So Glamping is the fun and chic alternative to a traditional weekend in the woods for me. Some of you may ask, what is Glamping?
Glamping, also known as luxury camping or glamorous camping, is a one-of-a-kind experience where you’ll get to choose an extremely unique accommodation, pick an amazing backdrop and get ready for the experience of a lifetime – all without sacrificing even an ounce of comfort. When you glamp, you can expect amazing views, unique structures (like a tree house) and secluded landscapes while you relax in comfortable beds, take luxurious bubble baths, enjoy on-site spas or even escape to your private beach. You see, this is my type of camping! 😉
I found this super cute Cottage Rental with Private Lakefront Yard near Niagara on the Lake, Ontario on Glampinghub.com. Take a look at those photos, how pretty!
