PARKVIEW Magazine One-year Anniversary Event
Happy 4th of July! I know it is a red, white and blue kind of day. But I decided to do something a little differently. I love my new country very much. After all, I am an American citizen for several years now and often get emotional when I hear the Star Spangled Banner to start off a game or other event. So I decided to support some more of our local homegrown talents to honor this special day. 🙂
Last Thursday evening we were invited to this PARKVIEW Magazine One-year Anniversary Event. Honestly, I was not sure what to expect. But when I walked into this beautiful Brooklyn Outdoor Loft in Detroit’s Eastern Market district, I instantly felt like I was in some trendy little corner of NYC. I mean I am regularly pleasantly surprised by some new experience or place I never knew about tucked away around the “D”! It’s always like I discovered some secret treasure when I find it. Of course, as often as not, everyone else already knows about it and is wondering where I’ve been!
PARK VIEW MAGAZINE is a lifestyle publication with a collection of life’s allure through a showcase of awesome people, unique places, shared spaces, and the experiences that influence culture. They capture how individual taste is cultivated through living and common spaces and how people are making their mark in the world while fulfilling their passion and purpose. It is quite a unique approach for a magazine.
PARKVIEW MAGAZINE is a reference for inspiration and cunning perspective from some of the most intriguing human beings around. Not so much of a keeping up with the trends type of read, but more of a visual and reading experience that embraces and inspires a lifestyle. I am very proud to see that there is such a high quality magazine in the Detroit area.
The evening was full of the excitement of chatting with the old friends and meeting with more new trendy people.
What can beat a great chef that prepares food at the party? Love, love, loved those short rib sliders and cheesy grits and shrimp (one of my personal faves!) from Chef Jeremy Kalmus.
And the great tunes from toneandb kept things rolling strong.
I’m sure you have heard a lot of stories about Detroit. And not the kind that make you want to visit. You need to see that, like most stories, there’s a different side of this city. There are so many talented people here that are giving their all to create the new image of the D. You can read more on PARK VIEW Magazine. And there are so many cool and trendy parts of this city just waiting for you to discover!
