Have you ever thought about being pretty forever? I never did when I was young. It is not because I was very mature at a young age. No, it was more because I was not pretty at all. And I mean there was no aspect that I could honestly think of as pretty, my hair, my skin, my nails, my wardrobe, none of it. But after I met my husband, he would tell me I am very beautiful every day. I didn’t believe him because A) his eyesight is pretty bad and B) the person I saw in the mirror every day didn’t please my eyes and was far away from what I thought of as pretty. But he kept at it so I figured I may as well try to see what he kept telling me he saw. So I started to learn how to put an outfit together and do a little bit of hair and makeup. A few years later, I finally agree with my husband. Do NOT tell him I said that. Ever! 😉
Now that I have changed my look and my mind I sort of wish I could be pretty forever. I spent way too much time in what I call my ugly ducking phase. 😉 So I was quite excited when I came across this website called EVER PRETTY. They may not have discovered the Fountain of Youth but those beautiful dresses sure have the magical power to make every women feel pretty for ever.
I picked this dress because of the color and the cut. It is interesting about how a person’s tastes change just like the tastebuds change through the years. I never cared about blue until I came to America. Then it turned out blue became one of my favorite colors. And pair that with the shape of the dress and it really was an easy decision. Like I said in previous posts, a fit and flare dress is always a safe bet for my body type, and I bet for yours too.
When I was picking out how to wear this dress I styled it with a playful vibe in mind and added more colors and prints to the mix. This can be a good choice for Valentine’s Day if you are into colors like I am. Have a great day and don’t forget to join our fashion linkup below!

This year I changed my shopping strategy. I’m now going to concentrate on quality over quantity. Which is to say I will purchase more high end, iconic pieces to mix with my normal wardrobe. I have to say, I love those mixtures of high and low. This Vintage Floral Pleated Single Breasted Women Coat is only about $34 now, but after I paired it with my new Louis Vuitton bag and that teal fur wrap, the whole outfit looks more polished.
The fabric of this coat dress is pretty thin compared with most winter coats. Although it has a lining to help insulate you from the cold and wind, it is certainly better suited to be a perfect spring or fall coat for us poor folks in Michigan. On average this has been a quite mild winter so far but Mother Nature still likes to show her attitude sometimes. It was much more seasonable the day I took these photos so I wore a sweater underneath to keep me warm. I waited for about 20 days to receive the dress since it is shipped from China. And please note that the sizes you see on the website are also Asian. I wear size 2 or 4, or small in most American clothing but for this dress I ordered size large. The large fits me very well. Now I understand a bit better why my friends mention I’ve gotten fat when I visit them in China!
A couple more things you should know if you want to order this dress for yourself. The fabric is pretty easy to get wrinkled so make sure you have a steamer or iron handy. By the way, I bought an inexpensive steamer a while ago and I use it A LOT! It can really save an outfit that’s been folded and stored or has just arrived in the mail. I also resewed all the buttons on because they were barely attached. And the shipping fee is higher than most of the stores in America. It cost me about $15 to get it here; so keep that in mind.
But overall I am pretty happy with this coat dress. I can see myself wearing this piece very often. Good luck with your shopping and don’t forget to join the linkup party below.
