Casual chic crop top outfit

Crop tops are still holding the top trendy spots for this spring and summer. I already posted a few crop top looks here, here, here and here. But today I am going to create a casual cool outfit that has just the right balance of chic and fun. I recently bought this fringe backpack and it soon became my favorite bag. My super cool mirrored sunglasses are another new favorite. They have that magic power to make every outfit more glamorous! I am thinking I may wear this outfit for the upcoming festival season. Would you agree?

My driving story continues below…

2 cars plus 1 driver equals a problem!
So the good news was we finally found a car for me to drive. The bad news was we had to get it back to our home. It was at a used car dealer about an hour drive away. We found it on a Saturday and hoped to pick it up on Monday after my husband finished at his office. As you probably know I didn’t have a driver’s license yet. In fact that’s why we needed the car. I was going to have to take my driving test soon and wanted my own car so I could get used to driving it before the test. Since I couldn’t drive by myself yet we needed one more person to help us get the car where we wanted it. On my first day in America my future brother-in-law picked my fiancé and me up at the Detroit airport and took us to his home. He has helped us out many times and we figured we may as well start with him! He’s been retired for several years so usually can be available to help out without worrying about missing time from his job.

We asked and he agreed so we started making the plans. During the day on Monday, my husband had to arrange all the other things you need to buy a car. He called our insurance company and gave them the details about the car. Then he called the dealer to give them the insurance info so they could help us to order the license plates. Then he called his brother to make sure he was going to be able to help us out. Now all he had to do was drive about 200 miles after work to make it all happened! We lived in a small town about an hour from the main Detroit area. But my husband’s office was in one of the nearby suburbs of Detroit. So first he had to come home to get me. That took about one hour. I got in the car and off we went back towards Detroit but stopping at his brother’s home first to get our spare driver! Finally we went back to the dealer to pick up “Snow Princess”. I had already named my car. It was as white as snow and we had enough of that around the Detroit area. I already knew it was a girl from when we first saw her. So it was an easy choice to come up with the rest.

We had to sign lots of papers and pay the rest of the money we agreed to but after about an hour the deal was finished. Now my husband got in Snow Princess and I got back in the car with my brother-in-law to make the long drive back to our home. Of course by now we were fully into the rush hour traffic so that drive took even longer than usual. The trouble with buying a used car is you never know what you’re getting. That’s why my husband thought it would be better for me to ride in the newer car. But after about an hour and a half we all arrived back in our little town and Snow Princess was parked in her new home’s driveway. But we weren’t finished yet! Back into our little car and back to my brother-in-law’s home to drop him off! Finally, one more drive, back to our home for the last time. My poor husband had driven to his office in the morning, back to home in the afternoon, back to Detroit, home, his brother’s then home! I had ridden along for half the trips and was exhausted! But now I was ready to start my driving lessons again in my car for a change! Please come back to see how that goes!
