Got a special order? Let’s hear it! I’m always looking for suggestions and comments!

The first few days after I moved to America, I was overwhelmed by all the unfamiliar language and things. I remember the first day my husband drove us around in our little town, I was so happy to see familiar Chinese landmarks, like McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut! It wasn’t because I love the food (well maybe KFC), but just simply because we have the same brands in China and they reminded me of home. I’m like most people I think in that I feel safe and comfortable when I am surrounded by the things I am familiar with.
The things Americans are familiar with are not always the same for Chinese. For example, the fashion luxury products, Chinese prefer some brands more than others.
Watches:
ROLEX, CARTIER, PIAGET and CHOPARD.

These brands listed above are a part of the data that a Chinese government branch announced recently. For me, Swarovski, Lance, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Polo, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Guess, Ralph Lauren and Coach are most likely middle class brands in America. What do you think?

What a gorgeous outfit on you Grace, I love the touches of red and elegance displayed. I remember McDonalds and Pizza Hut in China (went there in 2007 to get one of my sisters whom we adopted). I am glad you have formed some new luxury opinions and met some new brands.

I always feel more close and touched by those American families who have adopted Chinese kids. I worked with a few families and I was so happy to see how happy those kids are now. Big thank you Rachel! 🙂
