How to use your scarf in different ways
Every Fall, the scarf becomes the hottest accessory (pun intended). But in fact, both spring and summer have a lot more space to let your scarf shine like a star. Of course I’m not talking about that long thick chunky woolen one your grandma knitted for you. No, you can leave that one in the closet with your snow boots and long underwear for a few months. Instead, we are thinking more seasonable, and fashionable! That’s where the light weight, silky ones come in. 😉
Just like the scarves that you can get from companies such as Victoria Ragna, different sizes, shapes and lengths of scarf can be used in many different ways. I’ve pretty much used mine from head to toe but still want to try more options to use scarves later. It is so much fun to try something new or follow up on a totally wild idea. What is your most creative idea to use your scarf? Mine has to be that one I tied on my shoulder. 😉
Among all different shapes of scarfs, I use the long ones a lot.
It can cover up a bad hair day or give you that extra flash when you just want to add a little bit of cool vibe.
Or choose a very thin one to use as a hair accessary.
Sometimes I don’t like to show too much cleavage, so my scarf becomes the perfect multi-tasking accessory to both provide a little cover up and also bring more color and fun.
I really love to use my scarf to add more colors and a flowy feeling to my bags too. This trick works very well with solid colored bags to add more dimension.
I love the great value and versatility of a square shaped scarf. It can even be used as a shawl for a cool evening.
I got this small pocket scarf from one of the fashion shows I went to at NYFW. It is perfect to tie on my shoulder to add a little bit of a fun twist.
Scarves can be used in the traditional way of course. For example, tie it at the neck for a Parisian vibe. Or you can leave your necklace at home and just use your scarf to be the star. But I like to do something unexpected when I’m putting together an outfit. For example, knot one at your waist in place of a belt to add a softer touch. Or create a new kind of arm party by tying it on your wrist, like I did. I just needed a little bit of color to break the yellow and also echo with my red LV bag and burgundy booties.
