Spokesperson for Michigan luxury leather goods brand Beau Satchelle
We’re friends right? I feel we are with all we’ve been through together. And friends don’t keep secrets from each other. Or at least they shouldn’t. So, I have to come clean, I have been keeping a secret from you. Well not so much a secret, but more of a surprise. And it wasn’t really my fault, it just takes a while to get all the details sorted. So anyway, here it is, today I am Honored to announce that I am now the Spokesperson for our very own Michigan luxury leather goods brand Beau Satchelle! I couldn’t be prouder or more excited to join the Beau Satchelle family and be a part of their journey.
You have all seen many, many times, photos of me with my Beau Satchelle yellow Michelle bag.
So why am I pumped up for this role you ask? I am SOOO glad you did! I love the commitment to quality and workmanship that goes into every piece that comes out of the Beau Satchelle workshop. Each item is a handmade, one of a kind labor of love. With the emphasis on “labor”. I have trouble talking myself into pulling out a needle and thread to repair a hole in my pocket and yet, that is exactly the method the Beau Satchelle craftsmen use to stitch together each unique and beautiful offering.
Still, I wasn’t sure if this spokesperson role was right for me. But then they sweetened the pot by letting it leak that they would be creating a stylish evening clutch purse to go along with the Michelle. Still not completely decided I was then told that this clutch would be named “the Grace” after yours truly! Well, count me in and call me a spokesperson! Hey, a blogger can only resist so much!
OK. OK. Maybe the decision was a lot easier than that! If you know me, you know how much I care about helping the local Michigan fashion industry. I love to show off the talents we have here to the world. The gifted T. Michael, Luxury Designer/Leather Artisan at Beau Satchelle LLC, is a great example of just that kind of artist. I consider myself to be a motivated and focused person so I really admire these traits in others. And T, as he likes to go by, has these and others in abundance. Yet another young Detroit area visionary with a plan and the drive to do something to bring this once great city back to its potential. I’ve seen it many times since I began blogging and covering the fashion scene in this part of Michigan and it never fails to inspire me. So when T approached me with his proposal it was pretty much a no brainer on my part.
What does it mean? Well for one, you will be seeing more of me with my Michelle and Grace bags in future blog and social media posts. I’ll be doing a review of the Grace once we’ve had a bit more time to get to know each other. And as much as possible I will be out there introducing as many people as I can to Beau Satchelle and its line. I think when people see their products firsthand the elegance, style and quality pretty much do the talking. So my job should be easy, just make the introductions and get out of the way!
Color and Grace will soon be celebrating its 2nd birthday and I can’t think of a better way to move into year 3 than to partner with an awesome local brand, put on my seatbelt and prepare for the ride! And I am so happy that you will all be riding along with us! Thank goodness my new Grace clutch has a chain shoulder strap so I can use both hands. Hold on tight!
