Passion for Fashion the Unconventional Challenge Fashion Show

Passion for Fashion the Unconventional Challenge Fashion Show I have known Mary Rettenmaier for 10 years and she is working non-stop at promoting art and helping others. First, she started the Runway re-purposed fashion competition, which has become a big fashion event every year. You can read my post Runway re-purposed 2016 fashion show to learn more and read an interview with Mary Behind the scenes of Runway Repurposed fashion show. Now, she is working on this new gig to encourage others to create something new, from trash to triumph. I was so excited to be one of the judges for this cool out-of-the-box creation and competition. All designers were…

Statement Sleeves and Slide Flat Shoes For Fall

Statement Sleeves and Slide Flat Shoes For Fall It is the time of year again that we need to think about how to transition from summer to fall. There are two trends that will still be hot this fall, and they are statement sleeves and slide flat shoes. I got quite a few statement sleeve tops this summer and love them very much. I am very happy to see that this trend will stay for a little longer. 😉 The other trend of this year is slide shoes. I particularly love the flats. In fact, I have worn them non-stop this whole summer. This pair of black ones will be…

Life After Loss Get Up, Dress Up, and Never Give Up

Life After Loss Get Up, Dress Up, and Never Give Up Today is the 7 month mark of my late husbands passing. I can’t say it is getting easier, but certainly I am getting used to it. I know most of my days are kinda normal, but some days will not be so pretty. Those ups and downs are my new normal now. I want the people who care about me to understand that it is ok if I am down for a while, because it is a part of this process. I always can find a way to bounce back, and after each bounce back I will be even…

Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub Part 2

Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub Part 2 Last week, my long time friend Katie and I went on a girls glamping trip to Canada. We stayed at this amazing Riesling Cottage which is one of five farm cottages of Nokara Farms with a private lakefront yard near Niagara on Lake Ontario. We found this hidden treasure through Glampinghub.com. If you are not familiar with Glamping, here is my definition: It is luxury camping or glamorous camping, you will hit the outdoors in style without sacrificing even one ounce of comfort. Still need more info? You can read here for more in my previous post. If you…

BLACK COLD SHOULDER TOP TWO WAYS

Black Cold Shoulder Top Two Ways The cold-shoulder trend is continuing into fall, so here is one black cold-shoulder top I styled in two different ways. 1. Dress Down: Other than pairing with jeans, I can wear this black cold-shoulder top with shorts as well. 2. Dress Up This top should look good with a midi skirt too and, of course, some heels to add a more polished vibe. I may even pair it with a wide legged high waist pant if I can find the right cut for me. 😉 What is your take on the cold shoulder trend? Leave a comment below please. Summer to Fall :: Orange Red Bell Sleeves & Chanel Flats

Summer to Fall :: Orange Red Bell Sleeves & Chanel Flats Happy Wednesday guys! I am on my way back home from my glamping trip in Canada now. So today’s post will be quite short. Make sure to come back later to read all about my first glamping trip. 😉 I have bought too many black pieces this year and now I feel like I am slowly getting back to my color mode. 😉 Love this orange red and the bell sleeves are very daring. I really love this statement sleeve trend and hope it will stay a little bit longer. If not, I will still wear it and just…

A Simple Life is A Happy Life — Back to Basics

A Simple Life is A Happy Life Back to Basics Happy Monday guys! I know Mondays are hardly ever happy, but I guess we have to make it a great day. 😉 The way I try to make a great day is by reducing any unnecessary stress. For example, what to wear? For a working day, I usually wear very comfy clothes on Mondays and will gradually dress up as the week goes forward, then by Friday, I like to dress down again. 😉 This year, I am all into ‘A Simple Life is A Happy Life.’ I think I am just too tired and still trying to recover. If…

Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub Part 1

Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub.com Part 1 I grew up in the Chinese countryside. I didn’t have a single toy when I was little but I had the whole world of nature as my playground. I spent hours outside – running, climbing, jumping, crawling and sitting. Our house was tiny and my mom wanted me out of the way when she was cooking so the Great Outdoors was where I spent a lot of time. But I knew when I grew up, I’d have a nice place to stay where I would be comfortable, warm and dry. So after I moved to America, and my husband…

What to Wear to a Summer Fair

What to Wear to a Summer Fair Happy Monday guys! Today’s post will be short and sweet again! I just want to share a look that I wore to our local fair. After the fair, we went to a playground near by. My step-daughter persuaded me to go on the slide. So I went. That thing is truly designed for little kids, I am not even that big but it felt quite tight. 😉 So, what to wear to a summer fair? For me, the best combo is jeans, tee and sneakers. Yes, just the basics, but it doesn’t mean it has to be boring. The fray edge of my…

    SculpSure Body Contouring With LightRX

SculpSure Body Contouring With LightRX First, please allow me to say thank you so much for all the clothes that make me look pretty and hide my belly, because you are about to see the truth beneath them. 😉 As a 43 year old woman with a full time job, a blog, and social medias to run, I had a hard time finding the opportunity to even take a walk. With the stress of my late husband getting sick and then passing away, I put on a lot of weight. Most of my clothes were pretty tight on me and my waist number went up two more inches. 🙁 I…
