Hit the Outdoors in Style and Comfort with Glampinghub Part 2
Last week, my long time friend Katie and I went on a girls glamping trip to Canada. We stayed at this amazing Riesling Cottage which is one of five farm cottages of Nokara Farms with a private lakefront yard near Niagara on Lake Ontario. We found this hidden treasure through Glampinghub.com.
If you are not familiar with Glamping, here is my definition: It is luxury camping or glamorous camping, you will hit the outdoors in style without sacrificing even one ounce of comfort. Still need more info? You can read here for more in my previous post. If you are someone who prefers to feel free and adventurous when camping, maybe owning a Motorhome may be something worth considering. Additionally something like good sam motorhome coverage would be useful to check out too. We all have our way of travelling and if this is what you opt for, that is completely up to you.
After 4 hours driving, we arrived at this cutest cottage.
The lake is right there, in front of the house.
The owner, Kathryn, is very nice and thoughtful. Did you see my last name above the door? She greeted us and told us this is our home for the next two nights.
This Riesling Cottage is a quite big, two bedroom cottage with a high ceiling and very cute decor.
Walk out to the deck and you have Lake Ontario waiting there.
The whole cottage is fully furnished and equipped just like a normal home. In this super chic kitchen there are even more things than I have in mine.;)
This cottage is located on a farm and the neighbor has a flower field. Of course I needed some photos there. 😉
Kathryn told us, “Feel free to pick peaches.” I love any fruit and those peaches are so yummy!
There was a vineyard right behind our cottage, and, of course, we had to take a look at that as well.
After all the photos and excitement, we finally unpacked and settled in. I changed and we went out for dinner. The path to the cottage has many sunflowers. They are my favorite flower so I had to stop there for a photo too. 😉
The deck of our cottage had the best view of the sunset and it was the best way to unwind after a long travel day.
How can a glamping trip be complete without a bonfire, right?
Our kitchen and refrigerator had quite bit of food and supplies for a yummy breakfast. So the next morning, I mixed several different kinds of cereal and topped it with the fresh peaches I picked. I know, peaches are not a normal breakfast fruit, but it sure tasted very delicious. I also cooked some farm eggs and OMG, it was so yummy. I cooked the same way when I got home a few days after, but it was not nearly as tasty as those fresh farm eggs.
The best view and comfort for a camping breakfast.
After breakfast, we went hiking. It was a trail that probably nobody has stepped on for a long time. It was very muddy and the grasses were as tall as I am. We were almost lost, but luckily we found our way back after walking in circles for a while. 😉
To be safe, we came back to our cottage and went to see the beach. This year, the water was super high so the beach has disappeared in the water, but the view is still spectacular! I was sitting there for quite while just listening to the waves.
The rest of the second day, we went to several wineries to do wine tasting. I was quite surprised by how nice those wineries are and how high quality their food and drinks were.
The final night, enjoying once again this breathtaking sunset view.
I seriously could live here, forever. But it was time for us to leave. One more shot and let me put this view in my memory forever.
I can honestly tell you, from now on, the only way I will do camping is glamping. 😉 You can start to book your own trip at Secluded Rentals. Don’t forget to share your glamping experience with us in the comments.
