Looking good has always been something that has made me feel more confident and the reason why Color and Grace started out as a fashion blog. As we get older, fashion can only take us so far, and that’s where Ultherapy comes in. Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment that lifts and tightens the skin on the neck, chin and brow, and smooths lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. It is the only non-invasive treatment that goes deeper to stimulates the production of your own natural collagen non-surgically, without any downtime.

About three months ago, I went to Boyd Beauty for my Ultherapy session, which was just in time for my future book signing. My book, Finding Grace, represents a huge milestone in my life that almost didn’t happen since I initially had no intentions on blogging about my late husband’s fight with cancer. Finding Grace describes how I dealt with losing my husband to cancer and how I managed to overcome depression and sadness and was able to push through to make myself, my work, and my life better and more meaningful. Not only is my first book about to come out, but I have also hosted my first three workshops as a Success Coach this year!

If you follow my Instagram account, you may have already seen my stories and highlights about Ultherapy. Ultherapy was exactly what I’ve been looking for because it uses ultrasound therapy to stimulate collagen growth. As we get older, our body naturally stops producing the same amount of collagen it used to, which is what causes wrinkles. All Ultherapy does is makes your body create more of what it needs, without, cutting, chemicals or injections. That’s part of the reason I love Ultherapy so much. Your doctor will be able to specifically target different parts of your skin and see which layers of skin to target with the ultrasound imaging. This process makes sure that doctors are treating the spots where it will be most beneficial to you personally.

Most doctors recommend a consultation before your Ultherapy treatment. During my consultation, Dr. Boyd and Nora evaluated my skin to confirm that I was a good candidate for Ultherapy. I heard before I went in that Ultherapy might hurt, but I never felt any pain during my treatment. Dr. Boyd, Nora and I actually spent most of the session talking and laughing. Everyone’s session will be different depending on you and your body. Sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half.

Because I have so many things, big and small, going on in such a short amount of time, I needed something that had little to no recovery time. Since Ultherapy is non-invasive, you can go back to work and to your everyday activities right away!
Since my treatment three months ago, I have physically felt the skin around my neck lift and feel tighter, and the wrinkles I thought were making me look older are now more smooth. The first photo is the day before I got my treatment. The second photo is about 4 weeks after my treatment and the last photo is three months after my treatment! Did you notice how pointy my chin is?! I am very pleased with the final results.

Grace, your skin looks amazing! I think it looked amazing before, but hey a little tightening here and there at our age is not a bad thing. Thanks for sharing the ins and outs of this procedure.

Your skin looks gorgeous! I haven’t considered doing anything to my skin but if I were, it definitely would be the least invasive option. Thanks for sharing!
