Living Gracefully

Learning To Love Others The Way God Wants Us To

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you! No matter whether you celebrate it or not, I am sending my best wishes and good luck your way!

I often hear people tell me that I am different. Not just that I look different, speak English with a Chinese accent and eat weird food, Lol! They say that the way I think is different.

At the very beginning I hated that I was different; people thought I was weird or stupid unless I was able to speak fluent English in order to share my ideas. Then about 5 years after living in America, I started to enjoy being different and celebrated who I am.

You can read the whole journey of me rediscovering who I am in my book “Finding Grace” which is on sale for $17 to all U.S. shipping addresses (shipping fee and tax included if shipped with the US). Click here to buy it now!

Now, after walking with God for a year, I realize that I am NOT different. WE are all the same; we are all His child and we are all LOVED. So again, on this New Year’s Day, let us all refocus on love and celebrate love in order to celebrate who we really are!

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it doesn’t brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not selfish. and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.” 1 Corinthians 13.

A few weeks ago my husband and I both read this together and we did an inventory check about how we are doing with loving others. It turns out that we both have our own struggles of really loving others the way God wants us to. For example, for me, I sometimes noticed that I brag. Lol. šŸ˜‰ For my husband, he noticed that sometimes he was not being kind to others.

Where are you at with the ways God wants us to love others? Use these wise words from God to be a mirror to see the truth. And no matter what cultures we come from, no matter our skin color or gender, let us all practice true love towards ourselves and to others!

Happy loving! Happy Living!
