Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk Recap

As I’m writing this Susan G. Komen 3-day walk recap I have frozen bags of peas over the most sore spots on my body. Which isn’t saying much since my whole body is sore. Even so, I would not trade the past 3 days for anything.  When I first learned about the Susan G. Komen walk 10 years ago I was so inspired, but couldn’t financially join the fundraiser group. As most of you know, around 2.5 years ago I lost my late husband to lymphoma . The pain of watching someone you love slowly be lost to cancer is a heart wrenching one that I wouldn’t wish on my…

    Why bloggers are so influential

I feel like a fortune cookie, when I say this, but “you never get a second chance to make a great first impression,”… Either way it’s true. When people started saying this, forever ago, it didn’t hold the same weight as it does now. As technology advanced people have their first impression encounters over social media.  We’ve all found people on social media through a mixture of mutual friends and deep dive instagram stalking. This isn’t as embarrassing when it’s how you found your, now, favorite social media influencers. The first thing you see are their instagram pictures or how their website and blogs are set up. You can quickly…

60 Miles Walk For Breast Cancer In Michigan

The Susan G. Komen Michigan 3-Day Walk is finally here. While reading this, I have joined more than 500,000 people nationwide who have walked 60 miles over 3 days, raising funds to help end breast cancer. I have raised $2,300. It’s a challenge. Walking 3 days for 60 miles is not easy, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. I know I will be very tired and sore, but I am sure I will be also very inspired by all the amazing people who will walk with me side by side. It will be a once in a life-time journey and I can’t wait to share more details with you next week. So make sure…

    My New Summer Love: Poshmark

I’ve recently started giving more love to my Poshmark closet. I’ve been a member of the site for ages but never really took the time to understand and utilized it, AND BOY OH BOY am I glad I dove right in this summer. My actual closet is bursting at the seams so as a social media influencer and fashion blogger, Poshmark is a great avenue for me to share my love for fashion.  This week I’ve selected 5 items from my Poshmark closet to highlight. You can shop my closet here I’m starting the line up with a BIG bang: Christian Louboutin “Red Bottom” heels. Stunning nude color, worn a…

A Day In The Life of A Blogger

What does a 3rdyear nursing student, newlywed and a fulltime blogger have in common? The simple answer: a zest for life and passion to keep learning.  This post is written by Stephanie Probert, Grace’s assistant. Being a fulltime blogger, one question that Grace receives most often is: What exactly is a blogger anyway and what do you do?  As Grace’s assistants, Lois and I thought it would be interesting to share our view on the day to day reality of blogging and the social media influencer world. Both Lois and I are at two very different points in our lives; her a full-time nursing student, lover of coffee and queen…

What Will Happen After Your Trapped Emotions Are Released?

Lately, trapped emotions have become two key words in my life and career. Lol! You probably have heard me talking about it on my social media. I am hosting a workshop, Clear Emotional Blocks Through Body Wisdom next month. I have noticed that people are not familiar with this line of work about Body Wisdom, Emotional Blocks or Trapped Emotions. So I am writing this post to give more explanation. What Is Trapped Emotion Exactly? Trapped emotions are created or trapped because of events earlier in life. Most of them are dramatic events, like losing a loved one, getting a divorce, being involved in a car accident, or getting layoff……

Home Away From Home ||Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago

This past weekend, I went to Chicago for a getaway trip. Although it’s only about 4 hours drive from where I live in Michigan, for some reasons, I have never stayed in Chicago overnight for a vacation. 😉  For a newbie, I stayed at this super modern chic boutique hotel, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago. With the best location I could ask for, I had a fantastic weekend there. This 4-Diamond Chicago Boutique Hotel, is perched in the center of Chicago’s stunning skyline, steps from the Chicago River.  I love curling up in this bay window, just watching the beautiful world outside while I enjoy my own comfy and quiet moment inside. Well,…

How to Maintain Workout Routine When Travel in Summer

This post is partnered with adidas, but all opinions are my own. Summer season starts and it marks the busiest travel time for most folks. Kids are out of school, the weather is amazing so there are so many people taking road trips, camping or flying somewhere far to explore the unknown. No matter if you are on the road visiting family, taking a vacation or a business trip, maintaining your regular workout routine can be a challenge! Beach Run You ever said, “I’d love to get in shape, but I travel too much?” That was me before. Any time I had traveled in the past, I abandoned my workouts…

TruFru: A Must Have Costco Summer Snack

HOLY TOLEDO!! This product is the hottest item on Costco shelves this week.  When I heard that #TruFru Frozen Blueberries were coming to Costco on July 17th, I literally wrote it in my planner AND set a reminder in my phone, I absolutely didn’t want to miss the arrival of this new product.  Fast forward to arrival day, I hurried down to my local #Costco to pick up a bag of Tru Fru Frozen Blueberries. In all my excitement, I COULDN’T FIND THEM. I seriously felt like I was on Super Market Sweep, racing up and down the aisles looking for the $1000 winning item. True story: I ran right…

Jason Mraz Concert and Mini Getaway at Caesars Windsor Hotel,Canada

One of the perks of living in Michigan, or more accurately to say, living in the Detroit area, is we can visit a foreign country less than an hour drive. To pre-celebrate 4th of July of America and my step-daughter’s birthday, we stayed at Caesars Windsor Hotel in Canada to see Jason Mraz concert and enjoyed a mini getaway. I know, now that I think about it, it doesn’t make sense why I went to Canada to celebrate the Independence Day of America. Lol! Since we all speak English and the border is so easy to across, somehow it makes me feel like I am still in the U.S. 😉…
