Have you ever thought about being pretty forever? I never did when I was young. It is not because I was very mature at a young age. No, it was more because I was not pretty at all. And I mean there was no aspect that I could honestly think of as pretty, my hair, my skin, my nails, my wardrobe, none of it. But after I met my husband, he would tell me I am very beautiful every day. I didn’t believe him because A) his eyesight is pretty bad and B) the person I saw in the mirror every day didn’t please my eyes and was far away from what I thought of as pretty. But he kept at it so I figured I may as well try to see what he kept telling me he saw. So I started to learn how to put an outfit together and do a little bit of hair and makeup. A few years later, I finally agree with my husband. Do NOT tell him I said that. Ever! 😉
Now that I have changed my look and my mind I sort of wish I could be pretty forever. I spent way too much time in what I call my ugly ducking phase. 😉 So I was quite excited when I came across this website called EVER PRETTY. They may not have discovered the Fountain of Youth but those beautiful dresses sure have the magical power to make every women feel pretty for ever.
I picked this dress because of the color and the cut. It is interesting about how a person’s tastes change just like the tastebuds change through the years. I never cared about blue until I came to America. Then it turned out blue became one of my favorite colors. And pair that with the shape of the dress and it really was an easy decision. Like I said in previous posts, a fit and flare dress is always a safe bet for my body type, and I bet for yours too.
When I was picking out how to wear this dress I styled it with a playful vibe in mind and added more colors and prints to the mix. This can be a good choice for Valentine’s Day if you are into colors like I am. Have a great day and don’t forget to join our fashion linkup below!

We are having a pretty mild winter this year in Michigan. That is until last week. The temperature suddenly dropped and winter showed its true power and bad attitude. I was walking to my car after work, and my face and ears literally hurt from the cold. I really wished I had some toasty warm earmuffs at that moment. Well, sometimes wishes do come true because that night I was contacted by Queen Fitzgerald to review one their fancy and furry earmuffs. My first thought was “what great timing, this is AWESOME!” My second thought was “darn, if I knew my next wish would have come true, there would have been a lottery number involved!” Anyway, it seemed like the odds of keeping my ears from turning to ice just got a whole lot better!
I really love the photos I saw on their website and something that makes me feel more connected is that the designer is from Michigan and now lives in NYC. If you know me, I am always careful with who the sponsor is. If they don’t pass my background check, or if I have a concern about their product, I will not work with them at all. I am very pleased to tell you this Athena Muff | Onyx from their pre-release of Queen Fitzgerald’s Winter 2016 Capsule Collection is such a worthwhile piece. You can see from the package, even before you open it that their attention to detail is impressive. I was so surprisingly happy to open it, where I found it was not just so beautiful and well made, but also the smell was so good. I am not sure what spray they used but that scent certainly made me feel like a queen; So fancy and luxurious.
I wore it to interview a local couture designer and she was so in love with my new earmuffs. The admiration for these unique earmuffs was everywhere that day. You know that feeling when you’re out and about walking and all eyes are on you. And they like what they are seeing! Lol, I don’t know about you but I have to tell you that makes me feel pretty good. 😉
These earmuffs are not just good looking, they certainly do their job very well. I was toasty warm wearing them. They are made of 100% raccoon fur (ethically sourced) , and they are finished with a jewel embellished velvet band. If you are big into supporting Made in the USA products, then you will be happy to see this line was made in New York City.
Below is their behind the scenes video. You can see more colors and ways to style this statement piece.
When everybody else is wearing hats and scarves this winter, why don’t you let your fancy, furry, sparkly earmuffs help you stand out from the crowd? 😉 Don’t forget to join us for the linkup party below. Have a great day!
