Over 40s fashion tips

How do you wear pink without looking like a teenager or a princess

Having a lazy Sunday! I am eating apples and cheese as my afternoon snack while I’m trying to figure out how to write my first post for my brand new style blog. I know, I know. Don’t worry, I won’t quit my day job…yet! šŸ˜‰ Anyway my name is Grace and welcome to ColorAndGrace! Get it? Grace, ColorAndGrace? Hmmm, day job again.

So why? Simple. My passion is fashion. I’ve tried to talk myself out of it but it never dies. It doesn’t matter what situation I am in; well put together outfits always are my joy.

What always makes you happy? I love color because it brings the sunshine to me! A rich and bold color can instantly make me smile.

Looking through my closet I see that pink is the rare color so I decided to give it a chance. Why not? Who said women in their 40s can’t handle it? And these long Michigan winters need as much color as possible!

Here are some tips to avoid looking like a teenager:
1. Pick clothes with a simple cut.
2. Avoid any extra girly trim like lace, beads, sequins and similar decorations.
3. Do wear jeans or grey or white pants
4.Use accessories to add a little more color

Have a sweet pink day!
