How to pull off fringe fashion trend 2015
Fringes are one of the hottest trends this year because of the 70’s comeback styles. What is your memory about fringes? I guess mine is very different with yours.
I was born in the mid 70’s and back then, China was a real 3rd world country. We were struggling to find food and shelter, so at that point fashion is really not that important.
My first memory about fringes has to go back to when I was very little. In my hometown, during Chinese New Year there would be one or two shows on the main street. The local folk artists would perform traditional Beijing Opera type of singing and dancing. For the female artists, often they wore a costume that looked like the photo below. At that time you were very cool if you had clothes without a hole or patch on them, so those costumes became many girl’s dream.
Fringe has its magical charms because of it’s movement. It sways back and forth as you move. Those movements can make every girl feel like an elegant dancer.
Now I am creating new memories about fringes. Below are a few looks of the current fringe trend in my real life.
What is your memory? I hope you can show us some old photos about this fashion on the comment area. That will be so cool！
