Prep for Wedding Season with Meijer?
What words pop up in your mind when we talk about summer? Hot weather? Ice cream? Pool party? Yes to all. And… Weddings! A lot of of them. One of my friends has weddings to go to almost every weekend for the next two months. She is so stressed and asked me for help.

It got me thinking, what do I need to do to get myself ready for a perfect wedding look?
1. Pick a lace dress.
I love an elegant look with a little bit of a fun twist, so a lace dress with an open back is perfect for this mission. Obviously we can’t wear white, so red lace dress is perfect for the happy event. Do you know that red is the lucky color for Chinese? And yes, for a traditional Chinese wedding, the bride wears red, not white. ;). As this post is in relation to wedding guests, then of course, if you don’t feel comfortable wearing a lace dress, then go for something that you will feel comfortable in. The same rule applies to the bride too. As all eyes will be on the couple, when it comes to wedding planning, taking your time to visit website and book an appointment with a professional wedding dress company may be the route a soon to be bride should go down, especially if you are not sure on what dress will provide you with both style and comfort. I’m sure this way, you’ll be in the best hands possible.

2. Adding layers
If the weather is chilly or you are just not very comfortable with the open back, add on a motor jacket to cover up, and the same time it adds a more edgy vibe to this look.

A pair of black bow heel sandals are the perfect finish for this elegant look and adds on to the fun factor as well.

4. A modern clutch.
You probably already can tell that my look is not the typical wedding guest look. 😉 I love to be myself and have my own personal touch with every one of my outfits. For this look, my graphic clutch is the fun personal touch. I never like a totally sweet or feminine look. I am attracted more by those edgy looks.

5. Keep Hair and makeup simple
I am not a fan of updo so I just leave my hair down. But I curled it a little bit to add the movement that I like. For makeup, I focused on my eyes by using some false lashes to make my eyes pop. I also changed my eyebrow color to black to match my hair u part wigs better. And the trick for the best color of my lips? Use two or three lip sticks to mix. For this look, I used a pink and cherry lipsticks to create the color that I wanted to go with my dress.
6. Let your smile shine!
Some readers asked me why they have never seem me smiling with my teeth showing. Lol, I am not used to showing my teeth when I take a photo. But in my real life, yes I do smile with my teeth showing. 😉 My teeth are quite yellow due to regularly drinking coffee and wine, so I use Colgate® Optic White® products to get the best out of my teeth.
I have sensitive teeth so I am very careful with the whitening products, because my dentist told me I shouldn’t use any of them. But whiter teeth are just so attractive! So when Meijer asked me if I would like to try their Colgate Optic White kits, of course I said yes. 😉 Sorry doc!
I started to use this whitening kit about a week ago and here is the result.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Sorry it may not be the dramatic result that you are thinking. My teeth probably will never be as white as others but I am quite happy since it is a few shades whiter than before. How did I make my teeth a little bit whiter? Below is the routine.
My 3 daily steps:
The first night I used it, I already saw a difference. Again, not that dramatic, but it was noticeable.
This is my favorite part. After my morning coffee, I brush my teeth and then use this gel. It is almost instantly that I can see my teeth getting whiter. My husband even noticed and wanted to try. Lol. I let him share the Colgate® Optic White® Platinum™ High Impact White™ Toothpaste. Now his teeth are whiter too.
I am not a big fan of this because the taste. But for the better result I guess I can do it. 😉
Now after a whole week using this kit, I have not noticed any problem with sensitivity yet. So I am pretty happy with it. I have to say Colgate Optic White whitens pretty fast. And it helped me to prep my teeth for a photo-ready smile way better than before. 🙂
Now Meijer and I are teaming up to give away one Colgate Optic Whitening kit (See all products above) to a lucky reader. This giveaway is ONLY for U.S. Just enter below to leave a comment, retweet or repost and follow me on IG. It is just that simple! Good luck!

Wow! What an elegant and edgy wedding look! I love it!
I also have sensitive teeth and find that any sensitive toothpaste definitely takes the edge off. And coffee is an absolute staple in my house, so my dentist is always removing coffee stains for me!

I just love going to weddings. Luckily my wedding days are few and far between, there was a time when we were going to 6 weddings a year, now it’s down to 1, if that. That red dress is gorgeous on you! And you should definitely smile with your teeth! You have such pretty teeth.
